Help! How do I persuade my mom to give me back my credit card or get it back without her noticing?

I got a credit card about 3 weeks ago and haven't even had a chance to use it. On the day that it arrived, I was really excited as it was my first but Canada Post wasn't cooperating & it took longer then the 10 days to get it.
When I finally got it, I had to rush quickly, to find a place to hide it as my parents were after me. When I was studying, my mom said 'she need to use the bathroom' but really decided to find it and now has hidden it.
I am not sure what to do now. She has stolen it & hidden it in a place where I can't find it. I am not sure if the bank will understand if I try to explain it to them. I would like to use it for its benefits (no annual fees), but I don't think getting a 2nd card would help (even if I had it sent to the bank instead).
This is my first credit card, and is a student one (in my 20's)& I don't want to have to depend on my parents for things I could pay for on my own.

Though your mom means well it is your credit card. I also have a 20 year old and I put her credit card away so she does not waste it on stuff she does not need since it is her first credit card and she is in college. However, she knows I have it and barely ever uses it so she does not have to pay all those fees. But when we travel out of the state and she has to pay for her plane ticket, amusement tickets or a college text book I let her use it but I am paying the bill for her and teaching her to use it responsibly.
I advise you that if you still cannot get your credit card back then call the bank you got it from speak to customer service and tell them you never received it and they will cancel the other one and give you a new one. When you applied if it was online they give you a reference number. Also get a yearly post office box even though they use your physical address to apply for credit cards they can send them to you to a post office P.O. box. You can also go to the post office and have them hold your mail if you know you are going to receive it in the mail and only the letter under your name. You fill out a form to temporary hold the mail like if you were going on vacation or something and then pick them up with a state id. and have them resume your normal mail again. You have to write from which date to which date they are holding your mail after that they will resume back with your regular after the date you give them.
You should not use more than 30% of your credit limit.; for example is you have $1,700 in credit limit you multiply $1,700 by 0.30% and that gives you $510 that you can use without affecting your credit score. As long as you use 30% as the maximum of your credit you will be fine. But you can use the lowest 10% 15% 20% 25% 30% max of whatever your credit limit on your credit card limit is. But you can use all or part of your credit card limit only in case of an emergency situation when you do not have another option like a death in the family, a college textbook you need right away and your parents do not have enough money to pay for it. Do not use he card just to use it , use it wisely only when you really need it like for example your shoes broke and you really need a new pair. For Christmas you want to buy yourself something special but not too expensive something you can afford to pay back. Credit card payments are paid every month and you can not be late on them always pay them before. Never pay back the minimum due because you get charge interest fees on the card every month. If the minimum is $35 then you should be paying the $35 plus always add in to any amount of the payment at least $15 extra so then it is $35 plus $15 equals $50 dollars so you paid it back quicker. Good Luck!
