What causes the lazy eye in adults?  Some of the reasons include:

1. A constant eye turn (strabismus) in one eye
2. Anisometropia (large differences in vision/prescriptions between the two eyes)
3. Ametropia (large prescription in both eyes)
4. Reduced vision in one eye due to physical problems in the eye (e.g. corneal opacity, cataract)
