As I know, the Transitions change color more faster than photochromic lenses. The transitions normally takes 5-10 seconds to get fully dark when under bright ultraviolet light and it will completely clear when indoors. As to ordinary photochromic lenses, it normally takes 30 seconds to get fully dark under the bright sunlight and take much longer than Transitions to get fully clear again when indoors. In addition, when ordinary photochromic lenses are fully dark they get around 73% dark.

The photochromic lenses doesn’t work in a car, because car windshields and windows have UV protection)In addition, when Transitions are fully dark they’re about 75% dark.
