The materials of the contacts might increase the likelihood for the eye infection and irritation. Moreover, the contact solution you used also might cause your infection and irritation. Once a doctor told me that some solution ingredients are not compatible with the materials of the contact lenses. Moreover, the contact lenses putting in the eyes just like foreign body resting on the surface of your eye ball. It is easy for your eyes get red.
So if you are experience a red eye and wear your contact lenses for a long time, you need to take it off and put on your frame eyeglasses. In this way, your eyes will be relaxed. Moreover, you also need to make sure that you are using the best contact solution for your lenses, in order to protect your eyes from infection and irritation.

Wearing contact lenses is likely to create bacteria and toxins, which cause the very unhappy red eye. Especially someone who take long naps or sleep with their contacts. If your eyes getting red, please pay more attention to your contact lens solution you are using. It will cause allergy which can develop at any time, even if you have use the specific brand of solution for a long time. Some contact lens re-wetting or lubricating eye drops may contain preservatives that produce an allergic reaction. So proper contact lens hygiene and wearing habits are very important to lower the risk of developing red eyes. Moreover, there are some ways for you to get of red eyes caused by contacts.
1. lose the contacts.
2. Find a new cleaning solution
3. Try a new contact lens or switch to frame eyeglasses.
4. Use prescription eye medications
