I am perhaps one of the most laziest people when it comes to personal care.
Now don’t get me wrong, I take care of myself, but I don’t believe in going over the usual when it comes to personal care.
Also, most of the personal stuff I own is under the condition of use at your own peril. I have owned at least 25+ pair of spectacles in the past 15 years . Most have owned the same number in perhaps their entire lifetime. The usual reason is I wither end up breaking the lenses or the frame. I have lost a pair only once, and it got lost in a stream which was only 5 feet deep.
Now coming to the question. I have had the opportunity t try and wear contacts. It was probably not the best idea at that time. My right eye itched initially. By the end of the hour, I was partially unable to see through the same. Now mix this situation with sweat dripping in my eyes, not the best day and definitely the last time I wore contacts.
I personally have nothing against people who wear contacts. On the whole I am a bit jealous. But wearing glasses have a different set of perks. I look a bit like wizened and kind of a nerdy guy. Both work in my favour.
Glasses give an impression of a knowledgeable being. I have a tendency to observe things and my methods are different. I use my peripheral vision more than my frontal vision. Thus, any casual observer would be judging the direction of my vision rather than my field of vision.
I get to do the Rajnikant flip style.
With a simple flick I can open glasses and put them on using just one hand. Trust me, it looks cool, and i just like doing it.
Hope this helps!!!
