Checked comments for more info- Croatia and parents said OK to 50cc but you want 125 little hot rod? Forget about the 125, get a 50cc as parents said was good enough for year--and as a new rider 50cc will be enough to play in traffic. Think about a Tomos from Slovenia or a Sach Madass with no speed restriction- 60/70 kph possible. Geared 50cc motorcycles available in Europe- copy of Honda 50 cub with 3 speed tranny would do 60 kph, Aprilla in UK for second year riders with no restriction noted to do 80 kph. No more persuation needed for 50cc, just need to pick right one and unless age means restrictions like UK, simple basic geared 50cc would get you around- and might still have some little 50cc 2 strokes available that would keep up with local traffic with possibility of getting you into trouble. Get your license and 50cc to play in traffic a year as parents have said no objections-- and learn to cook evening meals for family twice a week, do laundry, run errands with the motorcycle for parents.

No one argument will be enough to convince every teenagers' parents to allow him/her to go for a motorcycle licence. A lot of parents will even be dead-set against allowing this, regardless of what you say or do.

But I do agree with Alexa...the first step is always to ask.
