My doctor recommended birth control for my severe period cramps but my mom won't let me. What do I do?

I'm a 14, going to be 15 in 3 days. I've had my period for 3 years now. My mom would never take me to the hospital for my severe cramps so durring my yearly physical I sought the opportunity to talk to my doctor. My doctor said I have dysmenorrhea recommended birth control to my mom and I and once my doctor even said the word my mom said "oooohhhhh Nooooo". She went on to say that birth control causes blood clots and she knows this because she works in the operating room as a nurse. My mom never takes me to the doctor unless for a physical or vaccination because she thinks she knows everything about medicine just because she's a nurse. I can't talk to my mom further about this because she will just get mad at me. What should I do? I've tried everything to ease them including heat pads, NSAIDS, molasses, raspberry leaf tea, changing my diet and more but NOTHING helps in even the slightest way. I can't even bring myself to get up to change my pads or tampons and always end up bleeding through my clothes . And I vomit frequently durring the first few days. Keep in mind I can't talk to my mom about this because she doesn't take me seriously and dismisses my pain. I feel like the only thing I can do it wait another year untill my next physical to tell my doctor again. My period is comming up and might possibly be on my birthday and I just can't take cramps anymore especially on my birthday. Please give me advice?
