Is it ok to sleep with my contact lenses for one hour?
I am thinking of getting a massage some time soon and i think i might fall asleep as they are so relaxing. I would probably only fall asleep for about 30 minutes to an hour with my contact lenses in. Is this ok or should i stay awake?

An hour isn't long, but falling asleep normally with your contacts in increases the risk of a corneal abscess by something like 20x. An hour is probably less dangerous (i guess?) but the treatment for corneal abscess is no fun, they're ugly as hell when you have them and the chance of permanent sight damage is very real.

I wear lenses that I take out every day and throw away after a month. The instructions say not to shower, sleep, or nap in them. But I have slept in them overnight before, and other than a little redness and dryness/irritation, my eyes were OK the next day. I just put some drops in and I was fine. I have also napped in them for an hour or two and had no ill effects.

Is it okay to nap while wearing contacts?
I am aware that sleeping overnight while wearing contacts is harmful, but are short naps ok?

Certain contacts are designed to breathe while sleeping. This isn’t a long term option though, as it is best to allow your eyes to rest without lenses.
Try not to wear contacts for days in a row, but an occasional nap would be fine.

What happens if you sleep with your contacts still in?
It limits the amount of oxygen that gets to the cornea because the eyes are not open and moving around like in the daytime.  Generally, nothing bad happens in the short term (like if you forget to take them out one night), but over time more blood vessels will begin to grow in the eyes to provide then needed oxygen, and then that can lead to serious eye problems.
