parents will need to sign for it.

GED is extremely simple to get.

If you plan on doing something with your life, you will have to go to community college for 2 years before you can transfer to a university for the remaining 2 or 3 years left in your major.

Please don't be a drop out and get a dead end job... then by the time you get 22, you're gonna wish you started community college few years ago.

Can I drop out of school at 16?
In the US, depending on where you live and your family structure, you can drop out any time you like basically.  I know there are rules but if you are older than about 12 - 13 and your parents don't care - aren't around, aren't paying attention, don't know what you are doing - I think you can pretty much get away with it.  Our schools and courts have too many other things to worry about than to chase after you and try to make you go to school.
As others have said, I don't recommend it.  If you don't know anyone who has dropped out of school and seen the repercussions, look around a little bit. Unless you are the 1 in a million genius with a brilliant idea to make money (legally), then you are dooming yourself to a long life of hardship.
