should i wear glasses or contacts to an eye exam?

I'm going in to Costco today for an eye exam to get new prescription. Should I wear my eyeglasses or my contacts? I'm pretty much blind without either one of them on so I have to wear one of them. I'm planning to bring both just in case, I just don't know which one I should wear. If I wear contacts, would they make me take it out?

If you are getting a perscription for glasses then wear the glasses. If you are going for contacts then wear the contacts. If both then wear the contacts and make sure you have them in for some time before going. A good contact fitter likes to see how the contacts look in the eye after they've been there sometime. Mine also likes it to be the end of the time the lenses are valid for , but he's fussy.

If its a contact checkup you may have to take them out, so case solution and glasses is a good plan. By the time they've looked in yoru eyes , had them in/out , put dye in your eye it can be tricky to wear them.

If you are planning on getting more contacts and the ones you have now are working relatively well, you should wear your contacts and bring along your boxes or prescription. This gives the doctor a place to start in sorting out what contacts you need. If you are not planning on getting contacts, either is fine. Optometrist's offices have loads of cases and solution they get for free so they will be glad to give you something to put your contacts in.

in my opinion just wear glasses because most doctor tend to ask their patient to read the board without corrective glasses so if you are in a check-up how can you remove your contacts??

Yes. I do it all the time. If you have in contacts they'll most likely just give you something to take them out with. Its no big deal.
