Is lying about college degree in a resume and interview a bad idea?

0 votes
I don t get lots of job offers from reputable companies. I want to work for a company like Charles Schwab or JP Morgan Chase. I HAVE a college degree but it s in General Studies. I m considering stretching the truth by saying my degree is in General Business instead. My question is, if I lie about the TYPE of degree I have, could I possibly get caught?

Yes lying about a college degree is the worst thing you can do, the employer will blacklist you once they find out you lied and it will be impossible to even get an interview with them again in the future, not only that but if they hire you based on your fake degree, there maybe a noticeable skill and knowledge deficiency, and if or when you get found out, you will get fired.
