I got basically one of the stupidest tickets ever for going 6 miles over the speed limit (while someone next to me was probably going about 90)...the cop said it would come in the mail in 1-2 weeks.
Well its been almost 5 weeks and STILL hasn't come, I've set money aside to pay the ticket (which is hard since I'm a med student and work part time so don't have any money to begin with). I was planning on doing traffic school when it came, but it never has.
Does this mean the cop never wrote the report or what? I think its been quite a long time for it to not show up.
Update: It said that you didn't need to go to court date unless you were disputing the ticket. He gave me a ticket, but he said details would be sent in the mail within 1-2 weeks (including payment and such)
Update 2: if you go to the court date you cant go to traffic school, and it will be on your record, since this is my first ticket. Thats what the cop said at least, and all my friends who have gotten tickets have gotten theirs within the first week, only reason why I'm asking
Update 3: I don't know if its because he wrote the date down incorrectly because he wrote it 4-27-09 which hasn't happened yet, and that is the 'court date' I'm so confused about this
