Question

I live in Connecticut so we get rain, snow, you name it. So to avoid rust from salt, rain, sleet and other weather related issues what can I do? Regular washes?

First find a car wash that has a under carriage wash. They are rare in car washes, but are worth finding. Second check out Ziebart undercoating and rust proofing. A friend of mine bought one of those 70's Chev's (in the 70's) that the sheet metal had been left on the train tracks during a rain storm. He had his truck undercoated and rust proofed by Ziebart. I was the only one that was rust free 10 years later.
