Update: I live in Australia and I'm an avid hunter, I regularly eat kangaroo meat that I've hunted as many Australians do. I've seen some news articals from America and other countries complaining about the consumption of kangaroo meat. Kangaroo meat is lean, healthy and in my opinion it is very delicious my favorite meat to eat, I don't understand why so many people are against it. Opinions?

Sarah, "most people" are ill-informed about the kangaroo. They mostly think of plush toys and Kanga and Roo from the Winnie-the-Pooh stories. They don't understand that they can be destructive creatures, that they are wild animals, and that they have been providing meat to humans for centuries. I would eat kangaroo, given the opportunity. I have had ostrich and was surprised it was a red meat. I also enjoy opportunity to consume the North American bison. I do not think it is a matter of hate; it is more a matter of lack of knowledge and understanding.
