Actually dairy and eggs do hurt animals,
Cows produce milk for their babies, not for humans. So in order to get it, farmers have to impregnate them, then if the baby is a male, they are either raised for beef or killed within a few days for veal, either way, they steal the baby from their mom, lock them away and feed them an artificial milk (similar to infant formula, but for cows.).

Also the mothers get pumped full of artificial hormones to make them produce up to 12x more milk than they naturally should. And it makes them grow much faster than they naturally should.

And if that wasnt bad enough, they are forced to sit in a crowded factory farm, locked in tiny cages with not even enough space to turn around, while hooked up to a milking machine for most of the day. Then when they run out of milk, they impregnate them again, and again, and again, until they cant produce any more. and when that happens, they are killed for beef.

And for eggs, chicks get their beaks melted off so that they cant nip the farmers, then they get put in tiny cages, with 5 other chickens and are forced to produce eggs

and just like with the dairy industry, once they cant produce anymore, they are killed for meat. and the male chicks either get ground up ALIVE, or get raised for meat.

so if you support the dairy industry or egg industry, your still supporting the meat industry.

And if you want to see how gross and sad the living conditions are for these poor creatures, check the links below, one if from the land o lakes factory farm, the other is from kreiders farms, who is the biggest private label (store brand) egg producer
in usa, who supplies eggs to thousands of grocery stores to be sold as their "store brand" eggs
