Is it safe to microwave eggs?

I've never made an egg before. Is it ok if I crack the egg shell, let the whole egg go into a bowl and then put it in a microwave?

I did it yesterday. However, salmonella never occurred to me.

its probably safe, but i would cook it on a pan... its easy and will taste better. first pre heat a pan on medium heat (like 5 or 6 if its numbered to 10) if you like scrambled eggs, crack the eggs in a bowl or cup, then stir them up well with a fork... u can even add a splash of milk to make them fluffier. then put a little cooking oil or butter in the pan so the eggs don't stick...pour in the eggs, let it cook for a minute or so, then stir it up with a spatula, let it cook some more, and continue doing this thil they're done. voila! that's it. if u like them sunny side up, crack an egg directly onto the preheated, greased pan... let it cook for a bit, flip it with a spatula, cook it for some more and your done. easy. enjoy :)
