Does the U.K. have a popular breakfast food chain that makes waffles, pancakes and other traditional breakfast food like USA does?

here we have what is called "Waffle House" and "Denny's" two very long time breakfast food restaurants that stay open even 24 hours..(meaning you can go in at 3 am and get breakfast...and have a waitress serve you too)..
how similar and how popular ? since when?

btw, do you leave a tip for waitress too or why not? (as you would be looked like you had stolen something nearly if didnt tip after)
Update: you can find these two popular chains..(since the 1970s i think even)...anywhere now in the USA. in small or large towns
Update 2: btw, think this would be popular in the UK..if dont have it? especially for people coming from pubs and wanting breakfast at 1 or 3 am? why or why not?

We have lots of independant cafes (commonly referred to as greasy spoons) that tend to sell breakfast type stuff but no chains like Dennys.
Tipping waiting staff in the UK is generally down to choice. Serving staff get paid a decent wage here (unlike the US) so do not need to rely on tips. Some restaurants will add a 'service charge' to bills but you are not legally obliged to pay it. I'd only tip to reward what I considered good service.
