Can my car sliding as it turns on a slippery road cause damage to my wheels or chassis?

Today I was coming home from the store and for whatever reason I made a sharp right turn onto my street. However, my neighbor on the corner house had washed his car and the entire part of road in front of his house was wet so when I made the turn my car lost traction and slid for a second and then regained traction and I kept driving. I'm just wondering if that could cause damage if it happens repeatedly? Could it buckle my wheels or mess up my car's alignment or chassis?
